ALCOR

In 2191, people beyond medical help are frozen and kept for a future that can cure them. When illness puts young Ben's mother Alina into cryopreservation, an artificial intelligence made in her exact likeness, ALCOR, is switched on to raise the son she leaves behind. Seventy-three years later Ben is an old man when the thawing notice arrives: his mother's disease can now be treated. What he learns with it is that the moment she wakes, the ALCOR system shuts down for good and every memory of the AI mother who raised him is erased.
